Addictive and dependant have two different meanings, though some drugs can be both. Addictive is when you crave the feeling that the drug gives you, the high of a narcotic. The sensation, drugs that make you feel really good while they are in your system can become addictive.Dependant however is what happens to you physicaly when you are on a drug for long periods. The drug effects the way your system works and your body begins to depend on it. If the drug is removed your body goes through withdrawl.
